Price: £25.00

Italy is home to some of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world & grapes are grown in almost every area of the country. Italy is also home to over 2000 different grape varieties, and we discover some lesser known varietals which are making a comeback.

PASSERINA 2014
Straw yellow colour with golden hints, with a perfume of wild flowers & aromas of yellow fruit such as peach, apricot & golden apple. Good freshness and sapidity on the palate with balance and great softness. Persistent dry finish & intensely fruity.

TIMORASSO 2014
Timorasso is a white Italian wine grape variety grown primarily in the Piedmont wine region of northwest Italy. There it is used to make aromatic wine with some aging potential as well as the pomace brandy specialty of grappa.

TINTILIA 2012
Tintilia is a red Italian wine grape variety that is grown in the Molise region of east-central Italy. Deep ruby red in colour, it has an intense aroma with a dry but soft finish.

AGLIANICONE 2014
Aglianicone is a red Italian wine grape variety that is grown in the Campania and Basilicata region of southern Italy. The wine has a great chestnut aroma, nutty and lots of fruit on the palate. It is dry and full body, rich and complex, great finish.
